Próximos Pasos project – a vocational initiative to benefit Hogar Altagracia graduates.

Tío Russ: Próximos Pasos (Next Steps) project is named for our late Uncle Russ, who inspired us to strive to make a difference in people's lives and support positive social change. This initiative assists young women who have been abandoned and disadvantaged, in their transition from orphanage to independent life by providing real-world job training after graduation.100% of these funds raised will allow graduates of Hogar de la Altagracia orphanage in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to attend vocational and technical training.

“Our Training for a Future project will offer a Culinary Certificate Program in Santo Domingo for the girls of Hogar Altagracia. This pilot program will educate and train the graduating class in all areas of food preparation and food service. Completion of this course will offer an accredited certificate that can help secure local job placement in the hospitality industry. Our goal to raise $35,000 represents the budget to equip the school, supply labor and instruct to appropriate standards. Every dollar raised offers these girls HOPE for a better future: Helping Overcome Poverty with Education.”
